st colums centre was the location for colum ogs awards night on december 7th 2007. cork footballers (noel o leary and st colums very own Alan o connor) were on hand to present all the medals and awards on the night .. trophies were handed out to players and teams from under 8s to under 16s. The most improved players in each team recieved ther trophies from alan and noel

A presenation was made on the night to our club players who won munster schools football medals with st gobans .
They were ,,,,, david o, mahony . sean o, shea . pat murnane . matt o , shea . dan o, leary . and shane mcsweeney. well done to all.
After the presentations our local dj ( eugie o, sullivan ) supplied great music for all to dance to … fun was had by all;;;;;;

the 2008 season is up and running with training for minor and juniors on wendesdays at 8 pm and on fridays from 6.30 to 8 o clock. Denis harrington of ( HARRINGTONS ESTATES) is the teams main sponsor .

st colums gaa club held a very succesful puck fada on sunday december 30 th 2007 .. Diarmuid o, sullivan( THE ROCK ) was special guest on the day and he really sent some powerful pucks of the sliothur into the west cork sky!!!!!!!
All the participants meet up at st colums centre and were bused (supplied by cremin coaches )up to the starting line at coomhola bridge
Members of the public were at the starting line to wish the players the best of luck on the course .. It was great to see :: paddy pats:: from coomhola bridge at the start line.. The course went along the windning road to pearsons bridge and finshed up at the goalposts in the outside pitch at st colums centre
st colums junior 3 football team were successful in winning the west cork championship for 2006, the cup was brought to coomhola national school by Club Chairman Neilie Oleary and Vice Chairman Tony Coppinger .

A great crowd attended and a great night was had by all.
Paudie palmer was M.C on the night .paudie had a busy night handing out medals and trophies to our teams and individuals on the night .
First up for there medals were the under 16 hurling panel of 2006 who won the league… The minor football and hurling panels of 2007 were next up , and what a year they had .. In football they won the west cork league and county league… In hurling they won the west cork championship and got to the county final, They won both west cork league and the county league allso…..
The under 21 football team was next up to recieve there medals from paudie palmer for the west cork championship..
The last panel of players up to recieve there medals were the junior 3 football team who had succesfully defended there title which they had won back in january for the 2006 season .A total of 30 players were involved in the panel , who had allso won the buckley financial team of the month award for january 2007..
The player of the year was awarded to Denny mcsweeney who is still playing minor and had an outstanding year allround..
John o, leary recieved (the club pearson of the year award for 2007 ) …… Dan hurley recieved ( the young club person of the year award for 2007 )… Paudie palmer made a special presenation to (Alan o, connor )on behalf of the club for his outstanding cortributation to both cork junior and senior football teams for 2007, alan won an all ireland junior title ,playing at midfield and was a member of the senior panel throughtout the year…..
After a fine meal served by the excelent staff of the west lodge ,,the floor was full of people dancing away to the music supplied by Blue moon… A great end to a great night ..
